Yooka-Replaylee Spoilers
The demo for Yooka-Replaylee just landed on Steam, and hidden within its files are tons of clues about the full release. Here are some of the more interesting things that I’ve discovered. Still Only 5 Worlds In \Yooka-Replaylee Demo\ReplayleeWin64_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\catalog.json it makes references to “Assets/Playtonic/Scenes/Main Levels/Level_01”, goes up to Level_05 and then has “Level_07_FinalBoss”. Hub is listed as “Level_00_Hub_X”. This file also makes reference to “Assets/Playtonic/Game/Scenes/RextroArcade/Levels/RextroArcade_Level_01/RextroArcade_Level_01.REXTROARCADELEVEL.asset” and goes up to RextroArcade_Level_08. The most obvious omission here is Level_06. Why is it missing? It’s unclear. This could indicate a world that was cut during development, or perhaps it’s simply a placeholder in…
